Invited Guests Comments: Elizabeth Mattis-Namgyel
Elizabeth Mattis-Namgyel has studied and practiced for 30 years under the guidance of her teacher and husband, Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche. After meeting Rinpoche in Nepal, she became his first Western student. She completed 5 years of retreat at Longchen Jigme Samten Ling in Crestone, Colorado. She and Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche have one son, Dungse Jampal Norbu. Elizabeth now travels and teaches extensively and is the author of The Power of the Open Question.
